Rows of empty seats in classrooms across campus await your arrival for our many lectures on Friday and Saturday mornings. This morning we will feature some of Yale's most distinguished faculty members in two time slots, from 9 - 10 am, and from 10:30 - 11:30 am. A number of tours and open houses are also offered.

Day at the Peabody Museum

Calling all families and natural history fans! Meet at the Hillhouse Gate on Grove Street and enjoy the scenic walk (about ½ mile) to the Peabody Museum. Once there, prepare to be wowed by the new state of the art gem and mineral gallery, the famous Great Hall of Dinosaurs, and the collection of animal, evolution and artifact exhibits that this celebrated institution is known for.

Y97 Night at the Theater

A special multimedia presentation of Decades Apart: Reflections of Three Gay Men, written and performed by classmate Rick Pulos. The play examines the attitudes of three gay men living in different places and times in the U.S., with images, headlines and newsclips, that reflect back on the issues that influenced how these men saw themselves and their worlds. And it's all set to the backdrop of familiar songs from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, that are sure to bring about a nostalgic vibe. (Mature audience only.)

Morning Yoga for All Classes

Start your Saturday morning (weather permitting) with some gentle stretching and breathing exercises, and get your body feeling "yoga good" for a busy day of reunion activities! This is a mixed-level class featuring modifications for all levels of ability, so whether you have been practicing for years or have never touched a yoga mat, everyone can have an enjoyable experience in this class. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. No previous yoga experience necessary; children and all ages welcome.

Promoting Emotional Intelligence – Presentation by Dr. Marc Brackett

Got kids? Chances are you've heard about the movement to promote emotional intelligence at schools nationwide. Join us for an engaging, interactive presentation by Dr. Marc Brackett, Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Professor in its Child Study Center, as well as the lead developer of the RULER system, to learn more about the benefits of helping your child(ren) name, understand and express their emotions.

After President Salovey’s update, join singers from all classes for a jamboree celebrating Yale’s incredible musical tradition. Alumni from the Glee Club and Whiffenpoof and Whim ’n Rhythm alumni groups, conducted by Glee Club alumna Stephanie Tubiolo '14. MMus '16, will perform Yale favorites from many generations, concluding with a rousing rendition of “Bright College Years.” (The Glee Club rehearsal for the Celebration will take place at 10:30 am Saturday morning as part of "Morning at Yale." All singers are welcome!)
